Home to about 32,000 people, Menlo Park is located just up El Camino Real from Stanford University, two miles west of Palo Alto and about 17 miles northwest of San Jose. It is bordered by the San Francisco Bay to the north and east, East Palo Alto, Palo Alto, and Stanford to the south, and Atherton, North Fair Oaks, and Redwood City to the west.
